601 TUNA WALK

AUDIO

Architect: PAUL WIEDENHAEFER. Renovation: BROMLEY CALDARI ARCHITECTS, 2013.

A-frames were a popular form for mid-century second homes, combining the excitement of a soaring space with the economy of just two planes resting against each other for shelter. Bromley Caldari clearly had the budget to knock down this early 1960’s A-frame. Instead, they preserved its timeless silhouette while imbuing it with a luxurious new lining. A new stair threads a sinuous path through the three-level home, with a double-height living area that overlooks the Great South Bay.
