615 SHORE WALK

AUDIO
1

Architect, HORACE GIFFORD, 1962.

Little is known about this very early Horace Gifford structure except that it was commissioned by Bert Rumely in 1962. Rumely purchased a double lot to maintain privacy. The pavilion contains a living area and a kitchen, with a now-altered bar-shaped building adjacent to it that houses a motel-style line up of bedrooms and bathrooms. A third building and a swimming pool near the boardwalk was added later, by others.

All of the structures were razed in 2024.
